This is a jazz "interpretation" of the original; the second movement Adagio from Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" for guitar and orchestra.

Wait a minute - isn't that the same music Gil Evans arranged for Miles Davis?

I think you meant Bill Evans. He was Miles' piano player in the early days.

There is a Gil Evans. Gil Evans and Bill Evans are two different jazz players.

Yes Gil Evans did re-write and extend a version of "Concierto de Aranjuez" for Miles Davis when they recorded it for the album 'Sketches of Spain' in 1959.

I did enjoy Chick and Hiromi's version. Very cool. Thank you for sharing it with us.
