The Bolcom choice was interesting. I'm unaware of the record... has anyone heard it?

He's a big name in the concert band biz, needless to say.

Bolcom??!! I love his rags and etudes. I'll have to definately check out that disc.

Uh, wasn't John Adams in there somewhere? The Bayrea usually wins at least something and usually multiples - congratulations all around, in any event...

I'm glad that Kissin won an award. I think he is a highly underrated pianist.
That's too bad that Lauridsen did not win an award. I think his choral music is MUCH better than Bolcom. That sounds like a choice made by the Brits!

I think it's funny that you said that because alot of people have stated how much they think he's OVERrated. But I like the recordings of his that he won the Grammy for.
