Not to be outdone by the DFW Piano Group that was founded by folks on this BBS, I've been thinking that those of us in the Ohio-Kentucky area (if I'm not mistaken, there are four or five between both of the forums) should have a get-together or something during the holiday season. I'm in Cincinnati, Wgh and Josh are in N Ky (if I'm not mistaken), and there are a few in Columbus as well. Maybe we can shoot for sometime after the New Year or before Christmas if schedules allow it.

I could try and make it since I'll be in Louisville for a few days around Christmas. Maybe it would do me good to play in front of "strangers". Find out how my nerves would react and stuff. Plus, I wouldn't mind hearing someone play who has chosen music/piano as their career objective (that would be you, Brendan?). Of course, other than one piece by Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg, Brahms and Scarlatti, all I play is Chopin! Wouldn't want to play the latter if it causes some sort of awful chemical reaction with anyone (Brendan?). In fact, I may not want to play anything after hearing some of the masters play. But, I'm a definite possibility if we can work it out.

No, no, no...play whatever you want! It's about getting together and having a good time. I'll probably make you guys sit through the Liszt Sonata or some Haydn, so feel free to make the misery go both ways! laugh
