Is the Henle Urtext edition of Chopin's works the most accurate, reasearched edition? Or does that attribute belong to the Polish edition (edited by Paderawski). In the back of my Henle books, there are footnotes in German, how can I acquire these in English? I saw on the catalog of theirs that the Liszt Transcendental Etudes will be published by them soon, but they have no information on that on their site, anyone know about this? Thanks!

Personally, I think the Paderewski editions are the most accurate (and the best)

To pour gas on the fire, I'll mention that there are some new Chopin editions by Peters. Here is a summary of their editorial policy.

The Paderewski editions are good, but he makes some textural changes which infuses his style of playing Chopin. I feel that Henle tends to be more musicological and researched, rather than offering a performer's edition.
