I should also add that Barbara doesn't claim to be inventing anything new. Its fairly straightforward. All she does is put it into a system thats more easily taught & understood. She tells you where to begin your focus and builds from there.

Actually I find the toughest part (well right now actually) is learning how to retain the mechanics as you take on repetoire. BLS has said this is very tricky initially because the brain focuses on whats on the printed page rather than your kinesthetics. So you tend to lapse back to the old habits you're trying to break. But eventually your body absorbs it if you're persistent.

My teacher and I looked at "Freeing the Caged Bird" some. A lot of it seemed really slow and agonizing, ah that's life I guess...
