Your nearest sheet music store should have it, and it is not free. As there is a composer attached to this music, it is not in the public domain, and thus copyright is attached to it. You need to pay for this!

BTW What many people know as the theme, (which it actually is not, it just happens to be the most popular piece from the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, is actually called "Linus and Lucy"), and occurs in the special at the christmas play rehersal, when Charlie is trying to get his cast of characters in line. The theme, which occurs at the beginning and at the close of the special, as I recall, is a song, "Christmas Time is Here". There is a lot of great piano music in this classic, of which my favourite is Guaraldi's rendition of "O Tannenbaum" (Oh Christmas Tree).

Season's Greetings,

Jamie

Cheers James!

Support our fellow musicians and BUY their music. How would you feel if you wrote something great to have people post them on the web and/or photocopy them? How do you think these composers make money?

Absolutely! buy the whole book; "A Charlie Brown Christmas-Vince Guaraldi Trio" it has all the pieces Jamie mentioned, and more. I agree, the version of 'O Tannenbaum' is beautiful; also his 'What Child is This'....and then there's 'Skating'....gorgeous stuff! There are two versions, an 'easy piano edition', and the not-so-easy. I own them both; working with the 'easy' and aspiring to one day playing the other. cool

Susan,

I've only seen the easy piano versions around here. Where did you get your other version. Is there a publishing house I can contact?

Jamie

Hi Jamie,
I bought it last fall, and if memory serves (ha), there were only a few copies left, because some new publisher had just got the rights (copy I have is a Warner Bros. Publication). Sorry I don't remember the name, but I was given the impression it might take a while to hit the shelves (but that was more than a year ago  )
Good luck,
Susan
