I think that was on the Piano Forum, and not out side. Sorry that I don't know too much about it, but if it was anywhere near as ugly as the 6-month thing with that Leuhrmann guy, you probably don't want to know.

Thats the other half that makes it so funny. Its been over 24 hours since I repied to that picture and I'm still laughing.

Brendan: you should get a job making funny graphics like that and make some money. Who knows, maybe someday you'll see your graphics in a cartoon or in a movie or something. I showed that fabulous guy to my friends at school. Most of them thought it was extreamly funny. A few even told me to have it printed onto a t-shirt. If it was me who created it, I would. By the way, your breakfast graphics were also funny. I don't know why, but they were.

Hear, hear! I really liked the "pot calling the kettle black" one too. It took a few seconds to dawn on me. If I had been on the other end of it, that moment of realization would have been a bit crushing, hehehe...

The "Bosendorfer Guy" was a college student who's grandfather had bought him a $80-90,000 Bose for his birthday or something. He stayed on the piano forum for a few weeks and just boasted non-stop about it. Whatever the thread was he'd find a way to mention his Bose, what a superior piano it was, how they supercede Steinway, Fazioli e.t.c. Eventually some very nice people ran out of patience and told him where to insert it. Some other nice people pointed out he'd have to remove his head first. And then some lovely people....

...you get the picture laugh

Ahhh, ok, I have heard about that one. He's the high schooler who had gotten a Bosie 225 or something of that nature and liked to quote the price of it. I read some of his posts a while back. Thanks, I thought that might be who you were talking about.

Actually, according to Bosendorfer Guy, the piano was $125,000 give or take a couple thousand. It's hard to forget the price since he mentioned it sooooo many times. That was a fun flame war!

Ohhhhhh! Wow! I didn't know that meeting Zelda would be such a big honor. I almost feel very special just knowing her through the message borad.

Should be "the STATEMENTS open and CLOSED minded are IDIOTIC phrases". Just thought that I should point this out.

Sorry to have brought back the old thread with the brouhaha but I was going through it again (just for a laugh) when that particular post caught my eye and I just couldn't help it. Too bad Zelda left and won't see it. But how knows, maybe she is still lurking around somehwere and will.

my prediction is that Zeldah will come back, but she will come back as a different name. you know she is gunna act super-nice, but eventually someone is going to say something that will get her tiked, and we all know it's her. Unless she is still lurking about and reading this. ( who knows)

PianoMuse,
I think you may be on to something there. My guess would be that she is indeed lurking, and reading all of this anyway.

If she is, I would like her to know that I personally would be happy to welcome her back if she chose to do so, my only stipulation being that she return with an improved attitude, respect for other members and their opinions (no matter how much you disagree with them), and to agree to disagree (civilly and without personal attacks or insults).

I can not believe I haven't read any of this thread until NOW. It goes down in Piano forum history as one of the TRUE monsters! Like the "Yamaha/Yanni" thread, and the "Great pianos for under 10K thread." I haven't laughed so hard in ages - especially the Pot/Kettle thing - what a hoot! Thanks Brendan! Thanks Zelda! smile Jodi

We would most likely all know that it would be her when she starts talking about Glenn Gould again.

I just read some of his posts...lol.

And by guilt of association, she'll likely be back as well in one form or another.

She is most likely lurking, as the others have said, and may return as another name.

god, this thread has been hilarious. i'm with jodi, how did i miss all this until now?

but i gotta say to you guys, how many of you have ever been a 17-year-old girl who reads ayn rand and worships glenn gould? i know the type all too well 'cause about 30 years ago that described me, too (though i'd like to think i didn't spend as much time on a high horse).

don't be too hard on her. she just needs some time to grow up.
