I have the opportunity to get a Roland RD-170 for $600, in mint condition, with a stand and some other small bonuses. I'm not a piano player - it would be for my wife - and I'd like to know if this is a good deal? The model is discontinued so I can't really do much price comparing.

Well, there's one currently on ebay, with the price (auction not yet done) at $400:

Ebay Roland RD-170

That's all I can find there.

Also, if the stand you'd be getting is the one shown with the keyboard on that listing, and if you have small children or large dogs (or very large cats), then get a more stable stand.
