Ok, I am learning this over the next 2 weeks as a suprize for my piano teacher who will be away. I pretty much have it playable without the mordents... my question... do the mordents include the top note in the treble or both notes? I have not heard a recording of this... i suppose i could download one... but I like learning first... listening later, then tweeking.

Well I answered my own question... I went out tonight to get the Henle Urtext edition of WTC2, and as written by Bach, there isnt any mordents. Sorry for asking a silly question... i am shelving the cheap edition... actually i should send it back to AMAZON cuz pages are falling out... its new :0(

Always use Henle editions (or any Urtext edition) whenever possible! And avoid Schirmer like the plague! wink

Thanks! I am beginning to see that.... gosh they are mighty pricey though!! I was afraid it wouldnt sit on the music stand.... and it stays open nicely... Bound quite well for paperback
