We recently purchased a M & H - Model A with PianoDisc player.

I have found a few Yanni Midi files on the internet however the files were not much better than my interpretation. (I am not an accomplished pianist)

Any suggestions as to where I could fimd some high quality files would be appreciated

AS a "New Age Composer" myself, It may be hard to
find midi files of certain people. I create alot
of my music in an unconventional way that would
be hard to put in "Midi" land.

ask this in "Non-Classical" forum and you'd get some answers. people stay only in Classical piano corner tend to ignore Yanni and the kind... and btw, don't dare mention Clayderman here! wink

i liked new age stuff for a while, but now i don't listen to it anymore.

The only Yanni I've heard of is the keyboardist from Children of Bodom...the scandinavian heavy metal group.

If you want those notes just go on a guitar tab website and someone will have tabbed it out. They're not particularly melodious though, just constant semiquavers with an annoying midi sound.

Keep in mind that his music would be copyrighted, so that MIDI files cannot be distributed freely.

I am not looking for bootleg Yanni MIDI copies

Just a simple Midi file produce by a competent pianist

I do believe there is any copyright infringement if someone were to produce a MIDI file based on their interpretation of a Yanni song

I have contacted Yanni website and they do not distribute these files do to lack of demand

Your belief is correct. There would be mucho copyright infringment. Yanni employs ASCAP to licence radio broadcast, public performance venues, and yes: web sites, to collect money for all performaces or notations of his compositions.

Not a big deal, though. Just look for midi sites which are properly licensed. I license with both ASCAP and BMI myself. But sorry... haven't recorded a Yanni tune yet.

Yup. After I finish playing Rachmaninoff's 3rd and Bartok's 2nd concertos, I like to look at Yanni sheet music and think of what could have been frown

I enjoy a lot of non-classical music too. I like Ben Folds, Johnny Cash, James Taylor, The Fray, and a lot of old school west coast rap. I just think saying Yanni is "too difficult for classical musicians" is ridiculous.
