I think the recording quality was bad, because I was hearing some sort of cropping or white noise at the loudest points or something. Even so, it did seem a bit "bangy" for my tastes. One can convey the emotion without destroying the instrument.

I dunno, I like the banging. But I'm more into the non-classical than otherwise (though I do listen to classical on occasion). So a lot of the modern piano music I listen to involves destroying the keys (not literally of course). I think it's a fantastic way to convey emotion, when anger or power or something in that vein is the emotion they're trying to convey, you know...

Heh... I'm sure many of you won't like that, but I don't know, I love it. But I do love the soft, beautiful and articulately played pieces too. It's just a nice change of pace sometimes.
