I've never "gotton" the 1st movement of the Tchiakovsky 1-other than that little Russian dance motif it's all lost on me (I love the 3rd movement tho). I feel the same about the Brahms's too. Disappointing because I love Tchiakovsky and Brahms and wanted so much to love their piano concerti too but alas such love is not to be (as of yet anyway). Interesting that I love both their violin concerti (Brahms' VC contains one of my most transcendent musical moments-(or in the top 10 of them)).

Piano:

Beethoven 1,3,4,5: 3(fave of the faves)
Rachmaninoff 1,2,3: 2
Chopin 1,2: 2
Mendelssohn 1, Introduction and Rondo Cappriccio
Schumann
Grieg
Saint-Saens 2,4,5: 4
Bach d minor and f minor

Violin:

Brahms
Mendelssohn
Paganini 1
Sibelius
Beethoven
Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso
Wieniawski 1
Sarasate Zigeunerweisen, Carmen Fantasy
Lalo Symphonie Espagnole
Bach double, a minor
Vivaldi Four Seasons (esp. Summer g minor)
Vieuxtemps 4,5

Brahms double
Dvorak cello
Vivaldi madolin concerti

Both first and second are Incredible.

I'm also one of the people that doesn't like Tchaikovsky's 1st. To me, it's just a crowd pleaser...
