How high should one be able to lift his or her 4th finger? What is the limit in which you can lift it?

By itself, I can manage maybe two centimeters with the other fingers down.

Are you talking about lifting it two centimeters off the surface or two centimeters referencing from your 3rd finger?

The 4th finger by design is not able to be lifted as the rest are. Learn from Schumann and don't try to force the issue smile .

I'm no anatomy expert, but it seems to me that it differs from person to person. Try bending over and touching your toes (without bending your knees). How far did you get? Some extremely flexible people will be able to place their palms on the floor, while others may not even be able to reach their knees.

I think the answer really depends on muscle and tendon flexibility.

Why do you ask?

Mine on a flat table and all the other fingers still flat on the table can be lifted halfway through the air, about.
