Let's list 'em (hope this hasn't already been done).

Here's some I've seen and enjoyed reasonably well:

Cliburn: Playing on the Edge (2001 competition)
Playing with Fire (Cliburn 97)
Evgeny Kissin: The Gift of Music
The Art of the Piano: Great Pianists of the 20th Century
Imagine...Being a Concert Pianist (Benjamin Grosvenor and others featured)

Excellent documentary about Olivier Messiaen "Un regard sur Olivier Messiaen... avec Roger Muraro".
Issued as bonus DVD with Muraro's superb Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jesus.

"Beyond the Practice Room" was on PBS here Sunday night. The kids were about 13--18 and were sensational players, although I don't see any of them getting a job...no personality...

BTW, I bought the videos of Playing with Fire (local boy makes good Jon Nakamatsu won that one). If anyone interested, come on over (bring a six pack)...

Thanks for posting that. I really enjoyed that little excerpt of Benjamin Grosvenor playing the Glinka piece.

And she sang like the first storm heaven gave.

Wow, I thought Natalia Kazaryan's interpretation of Bach had plenty of personality (as well as artistry, maturity, etc.).

Yeah, Lento, I did eventually get time to watch the whole series. It was very interesting to watch, and I forwarded the link to a few friends. I sure wish there was a YouTube video of Benjamin Grosvenor playing that entire Glinka/Balakirev piece! Beautiful!
