Most reggae songs are based on renditions of existing music. I think I've heard this before (Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, etc.?), but can't put my finger on it.

Got it. Answered my own question. I wasn't thinking back far enough. Saint-Saens 3rd Symphony. Swiped in 1977 by Fitzgerald and Keeley.

Thank you, Dame. I'm not familiar with all of Bach's choral music, so my initial thought was a motif that I had heard in a Bach Cantata.

The organ Symphony is a wonderful piece of music. I was unfamiliar with it. Not any more.
