can anyone guide me in the direction of/recommend a scriabin piece that is beautiful and not too challenging on the listener? did he write any really lyrical slower pieces? can't be too difficult. it may or MAY NOT exist but i thought I would ask. thank you., ciao

A few preludes might fit the bill... my favorite is Op. 11, no. 13 (which has the added plus of being "lento"), and Op. 11 no. 1 (kind of reminds me of a complicated Debussy for some reason).

I'd second that. There are several fairly easy, slowish very beautiful preludes in opus 11.

I'll recommend the most obvious: etude op. 2 no. 1 in C# minor--it's super famous but very beautiful, slow, and easy. You can even find it at sheetmusicarchives.

Etude OP.8#11
Feuillet d'Album Op.45#1
Poem Op.32#1
Op 8#8

all fit the bill very nicely...scriabin wrote a lot of slow lyrical pieces especially in his early period where by far his main influence was chopin.

If you mean easy on the listener, and not on the player, try the first movement of Sonata No 2. Sublime.
