OP Nunatax 500 Post Club Member Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 704 Belgium	Just bought a ticket to go see El Bacha play Chopin preludes opus 28 and Rachmaninov preludes opus 32. A recommendation by my teacher... I was wondering what people here think of him as a pianist. I have his complete set of Beethoven sonatas and I must say I like his straightforward, not too romantic approach, but I guess that's not a general agreement, since I never see him listed among great names like Brendel, Horowitz and others. Some can tell you to go to heck in such a manner that you would think you might actually enjoy the trip, but that is far more polite than civil - JBryan

I'll try to write a little report after the concert (which is on December 4th), but don't expect an expert evaluation of his performance...
