No smell at all! But then I doubt anyone could have smelled anything over the smell of the food.

The audio of the videos that you shot with you phone are beyond salvation.

The UFO-like piano lamp is from Ikea! It's the Regolit. Effective and not expensive.

And you are welcome! smile

Neat, Digitus! Looks like everyone is having a good time.

I giggled when I saw the music copies in their plastic folders in a notebook (pic of Jon). We see that at local parties here too!

There is one difference noted though, or maybe it is because we are getting more comfortable with one another at parties, and that is...

We 'fight' over who gets to play next!!! No kidding...the piano is never not being played. And what a gorgeous one you have there, too! Let me at it!!!

Not fair that we don't get to see the host playing. mad

May this be the beginning of many musical get togethers at your home.

Reminders for next time...bring your camera's, bring your instruments, bring your music, and bring your appetites!!!

Let me guess - Brahms Intermezzo Op 118 No 2?

And Bortkiewicz's Consolation in D flat major (from Lamentations and Consolations, Op. 17) by WzKit.

What other pieces were played?

Thanks Benjamin for all the photos, the wonderful party, wonderful food, and wonderful atmosphere!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself socializing, eating and of course playing that gorgeous Omega (now when will be my turn to upgrade? Hmm..)And my guests did as well. Fantastic event.

I have to agree with Benjamin that I was "blown away" when I found out what Roxane does for a living. As with most internet friends, it is always fun to meet the people in person and put a face to the names smile And yes...warus the female rather than male smile

We should do this more often!

Digitus,

Thanks for sharing, always nice to see that the PWPF is really international.

The piano is beautiful, and that food sure looks tasty.

I think the next time though, you should invite the founder of the Piano Forums laugh

I've been pressed by text messages and PMs to include a photo of myself. All the ones taken of me weren't sharp, but this is the best of the lot.

I led off the playing (not that I had any choice). Started with two Chopin preludes — #7 in A major and #20 in C minor — followed by the first movement of Beethoven’s sonata #12 in A-flat major, op. 26. Here I had just screwed up (one of several times) and I blamed it on the camera flash popping during Variation II of the Beethoven.

Heheh...yes those blue folders are ubiquitous aren't they. Wzkit had one too!

Well, you know this thing about Asians being shy takes some effort to overcome. But by the latter part of the afternoon even the really shy guests took their turn at the keyboard.

As for a pic of me, well I've caved in to pressure and just posted one! eek

Wah! You are GOOD!

There were also snippets of Bach, Mozart, a Liszt Consolation, Kenny Dorham ('Blue Bossa'), Rachmaninov (op. 23, no. 5), Tchaikovsky ('June', 'Octobre', and something else), Chopin (preludes #7, #15 and #20, 'Military' polonaise), and Erroll Garner ('Misty'). Sorry I mostly didn't make a note of which pieces exactly other than the obvious ones. Was busy. laugh

There were also some hymns! But of course I don't know who the composers were.
