And the price seemed to me to be great deal. I can't think of another grand piano that would be as good for $14K. It seemed that *maybe* I could get a Kawai RW-1 for this price. I did find the top level Schimmel upright to be about as good, but it's an upright. I found the Schimmel grand to have an even richer tone, but at almost twice the price. The Estonia also had a good tone, but it was not as "punchy".

I also considered the Petrof III, but that piano was far too powerful and boomy for a parlor setting. I found the Petrof V to be very good as well, but that the bass was a bit more limited than I would have liked (and actually, the only dealer where I had found such a Petrof V wanted $17.5 for it!)
