Has anybody here ever posted on Yahoo answers in the music question? It no longer exists. A frequent question there was how do you play with both hands at the same time. That seems to be a problem for some people that try to learn without a teacher.

I have a teacher and its still a problem for me. She's very patient and its finally starting to come together but its very slow and VERY aggravating.

It's good that you have a patient teacher.

I never really had a problem playing with both hands. It sort of came naturally. When I was learning chords in all inversions I was taught to play a left hand 8th note pattern to accompany the chords. Two lh notes and root position chord. Two more lh notes and 1st inversion of chord and so on. By the time I got to learning songs I could play with both hands without even thinking about it.

Don’t despair! Learning to play classical piano hands together is always a process— but you’ll get there
