After many many years of participation here I will have to be saying so long for now. I’m sorry to say that my entire house and belongs including my beautiful grand and all my music have all burned up. The ultimate nightmare. My wife and I are fine as we were not in the house but when we got there over 15 fire trucks were working on the blaze. It’s a total lose and are left with just the clothes on our backs. Our computers are gone but even worse my two wonderful cats are most likely gone as well. Not much chance they made it out. Anyway, sorry to be so dramatic but I won’t be playing piano now for a long time and my heart just won’t be into posting here. So thank you all for the memories and perhaps some time in the future I’ll be back. Peace- Peyton

Oh no Peyton, I am so, so sorry to hear this. Thank goodness you and your wife were unharmed, but the loss of your home, possibly your pets, and everything else in the home must be almost too much to bear.
Prayers for you for strength and successful new beginnings.

Absolutely devastating--everyone's worst nightmare. Words don't touch it.

Oh, Peyton, this is so awful - I'm used to the videos of your piano and your beautiful place. I think I'm going to cry - I cannot even imagine the loss -
May your family and friends be close during this time and the future. I am so glad you and your wife are physically ok. Please know that all your old friends here at Pianoworld are with you.
Much love,
Cathy

That is a tragedy I can't even begin to comprehend, and I wish you all conceivable strength to get through this.

This is awful news Peyton. Your performances and original music in the recitals have always inspired me. Please check in and let us know how you are doing, and if there is anything we can do to help.

Hi Peyton How devastating for you! We’ll do what that old hotel ad recommends: ‘we’ll keep the light on for you’.
Best wishes and hurry back

I'm so sorry to hear this Peyton. Devastating, stressful. You will be sorely missed here. Your original music compositions have been wonderful to hear.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that sometime you will return to us with new compositions.

I'm sorry for this terrible news, Peyton, and hope better days are ahead for your family. I can't imagine how painful it must be.
For what it's worth, I always enjoyed listening to your recital submissions and reading your feedback. I'm confident that if and when you return to the piano, it'll bring some joy to many people here (and hopefully to yourself as well).

I am so sorry. Such sad news. I hope by some miracle, your cats managed to have escaped or somehow survived. I remember your composition, Gnossienne for Stella, who survived an accident. Maybe she and the other cat will survive again.
