I'm partial to old advertising posters so I have a framed copy of this print hanging next to my piano, which I love: ![[Linked Image]](http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/full/15823.jpeg) I also really love this old C. Bechstein poster, and for years I've been thinking I should get a print of this one too: ![[Linked Image]](http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/full/15824.jpg)

My piano's voice is my voice to God and the great unknown universe, and to those I love.In other words a hymn. That is all, but that is enough.Life goes on, despite pain and fear.Music is beautiful, life is beautiful.

Here’s a painting called Mujeres tocando piano (Women playing piano) which I think is very striking. It is by the Cuban artist Amelia Peláez. This was not her only painting where the subject was a woman or women playing piano. Neat, like a later Picasso but toned down.

Interesting artwork! Re. the key sizes, it's also funny how often the 3-2-3-2 pattern of black keys is off too. I also enjoy the old piano advertisements.

Yes, these are great! On the topic of ads, here's one that I know has been posted someone on PW before: ![[Linked Image]](https://fanart.tv/fanart/music/861ed82a-7a6a-4d72-89b8-764b4f53e17c/albumcover/kimonos-5213347f8c2e5.jpg) Although, is it an ad for Petrof, or for kimono? Here's the art in full, although not as good an image as the above: ![[Linked Image]](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e5179c46b4935437ec0526c231a93067/tumblr_pocmmmrzgG1vf580o_500.jpg)

So, I believe that architecture is art as well. I thought I would share this. This is a photo of a local piano school in the section of Philly known as University City. It is called the Suzuki Piano Academy. The owner and head teacher designed the school inside and out. The facade is striking, but check out the bicycle stands. They are made into the shape of grand pianos. I a not sure if you can tell from this photo but the bike stands are made out of stainless steel. I downloaded this image from Google but I can't find photos of the inside of the school. It is beautiful as well and there are several places that the design gives "homage" to the piano. By the way, it doesn't hurt that they chose 2 Matchless Cunningham Parlour grands as their teaching pianos. ![[Linked Image]](http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/medium/15825.png)

Here is a much larger "full kimono" image: https://twitter.com/Estetism_jp/status/1465676278955077642/photo/4The colours still aren't as brilliant as the cut-down version, unfortunately.

I believe that architecture is art as well. Michelangelo would agree with this.
