I'm going to a concert tomorrow evening...
BENJAMIN GROSVENOR
Brahms Three Intermezzi Op.117
Liszt Sonata in B Minor
Chopin Sonata in B Minor

I think for the next recital I may have a go at the Liszt or the Chopin.....
Does anyone know how to grow another 20 fingers and suddenly get better by 20,000%? 🤔

It could be fun to attempt it and see how far you get. Probably not optimal for progress at the piano, but who cares, really?

Practice slowly in groups of four notes, hands separate and then tie it all together, and viola!
Or inch your metronome up by 1 bpm each day so that you reach 180 bpm in six months.😂 It only works if you can finish the piece all the way through on the first day at 0 bpm though lol.

I hope you enjoy the concert! I watched the stream of his recital at the Chopin and his Europe festival a couple of months ago and I was very impressed. I follow him since then. Have fun!!

I have a ton of music to practice with my music group. I don't usually plan on recording a piece for an upcoming recital. My last submission was an arrangement of a Christmas piece since the festive season is just over a month away. Otherwise the piece that I'm working on will be the submission piece if it is ready before the deadline.

I usually work on up to 3 pieces at a time. If none of the 3 is ready then no submission.

I know my limits. They do not cater for any of those composers. . . .

0 bpm after 6 months is rather more likely in my case... 🙂

Thanks. He is definitely talented. It will be interesting to see him live.

Twenty more fingers but no more brain? That would be a disaster. However, twenty more fingers plus another brain, that would be a great idea.
Wait... hmmm.... isn't that the idea behind a duet?

Playing the piano is learning to create, playfully and deeply seriously, our own music in the world.

Great idea! I can play a duet with Martha Argerich and let her handle both parts. 😁

Ah yes. Another brain is implied in the required 20,000% increase in talent 👍🙂
