I have a Wormwith & Co. upright piano that I've had for many years. It's serial number 6888. I'm trying to get as much information on it as possible. We are downsizing and I won't have room for it in the new place. I'd like to have it go to a good home so I want to be able to say as much about it as possible to entice a new owner. Can anyone on this forum tell me anything about it?

Maybe this information will help— but the serial numbers do not match yours

Do you know how old your piano is?Sometimes serial numbers differ on brands because of new ownership or something else that has fundamentally happened or perhaps you cannot see a faded number on the piano.

You are right. I took a photo of the serial number and then blew it up. There is a faded "1" at the beginning. Also, I'm not sure if the last number is an 8 or a 3. The number could be 16863 or 16868. What I thought was an "8" after the first "6" turned out to be a "6" when I was able to see it closer. What age would 16863 or 16868 make my Wormwith piano?
