Has anyone here used a seaboard or lumi? Just wondering what you thought of it? @KawaiJames introduced me to sea board on another thread of someone doing a purple rain cover and I thought it was awesome. I pre-ordered the lumi as they released a new version of it and they said it’s good for beginners as the seaboard is pretty tricky to use. I know this is not piano but I’m excited to do some guitar hero style keyboard and making some new sounds and then maybe be able to use seaboard one day. And it’s portable. I was also in market for a compact midi controller too so this solved that and best part it lights up. Haha! some times the most random things that get us excited in music.

A FYI Roli Seaboard is no longer in business.

All these years playing and I still consider myself a novice.

Thanks. I did some reading looks like they’re now operating under lumi and only focusing on the lumi keyboard.

I got the scoop. They will be making seaboards again in 2022 and currently are manufacturing the lumi and other blocks and the company is running with their new structure as luminary role and capital raised. Phew for a moment I thought I was scammed haha. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this new toy. I think it’ll be fun way to switch up playing stuff.

I have the Lumi, which was bought when I am traveling [what traveling!]. I plan to get 2nd one, it’s fine as a portable keyboard, synchs well with iPad. I haven’t started my membership yet, not sure it works for classical music although they expanded into lessons. I love the minimalist and portability. Really hold a charge.
