Hi guys.

Having some half damper pedal issues with Pianoteq and the built in sounds in the Korg D1 which would suggest the pedal itself is the issue ..

Pianoteq shows that when I press the pedal with a little speed it goes only to half., sometimes its erratic at first.

however when I press the pedal slowly it goes all the way down..

Noticing the half pedal and note drop out with the built in sounds as well when pressing quickly which is very disappointing.

Very Erratic behaviour..

I'm going to find out if it can be returned or exchanged but it was ordered through a skybox on Amazon.

I believe the skybox doesn't do returns if 30 days has passed which is unfortunate. By Monday I'll know.

Was wondering if the pedal is faulty or if it can be adjusted or calibrated somehow?

Read somewhere there is a Philip head screw that adjusts the potentiometer inside ?

Is there any chance that this can be caused due to some dust issues inside?

any advice or any help will be greatly appreciated. The darn thing is less than a month old.

Never had these issues with my old Yamaha pedals or any other digital piano pedals for that matter.

If this turns out to be a bad apple and I can't return it, can anyone recommend a decent 3rd party pedal unit that I can use with my Korg D1..

Thanks in advance guys.

Cheers.

ok nvm guys this thing gone cuckoo... even after registering a full pedal,, if I just put more weight or shift or sneeze while pressing it the thing going to half pedal..

Might have to just cut my losses and get a generic m audio pedal or something..

Such a pity it was a really nice pedal.

30 days return is one thing and product warranty is another.

If it's clearly a faulty pedal you should get a new or "factory refurbished" one as a replacement or Korg should try to fix it. A replacement sounds more likely for a relatively small and inexpensive item like that.

Yup I agree.. problem is there aren't any Korg dealers here to get a return.

I'll contact them nevertheless to see if anything can be done.

But the warranty is most likely invalid soon as you leave the US.

I live in Trinidad.
