Is it a Noire update? Something completely new? We'll find out soon!

Will it be at -50% during the Black Friday as all other NI pianos ? Wait and see ?

I was quite disappointed by Noire (too muffled)… then I will surely hesitate.

Hello,

Whoops, not my thingy either.

Silver (probably gold!) lining: no next great VSTi to consider, nothing to hoard, no money lost, no new messing with settings and options instead of studying and playing.

Cheers and happy equilibria,

HZ

Interesting. Muffled is why Pianoteq disappoints me, whereas Noire is very clear and present.

Did someone say we need to stop comparing Digitals to Acoustics?

You have to tweak the dials at the bottom to get it to be more clear/bright. It's extremely versatile, but you have to play around with it to get the sound you want. smile

I will pass on this now. It will be included in Komplete 14 (as Noire is in 13, which is how I got it), so anyway in a couple of years I will get it at a lots better price along other goodies

Yeah, I'm not enthused. I'm surprised they think there's enough market for a prepared piano. Maybe I don't get how many ppl are into that.

I have the Native instruments pianos, Noire, The Giant, Maverick etc, I play them using my Roland Fp30, they are fantastic. I bought Komplete 13 in the recent sale, I got good discount, I had bought the sound interface and a M32 controller. Just love being able to play a simulated Steinway etc, I do not think I will ever get to play on a real one again. I still remember playing on a white Baby Grand when I was having lessons has a child. I wish I had kept it up, but they used to teach different in those days.

Piano:Roland FP30X
Casio CT-S1WE
Arranger: Yamaha PSRS970, I have sold this, not decided yet to replace it.
Plus Native instruments VST Noire etc.

Komplete is first and foremost a library for producers, composers, sound designers etc. In that context this makes much more sense then another grand piano. They already have those, another one would add nothing to Komplete that their main target groups want or needs.

Yes, I've been using Komplete since it started (and I like Noire) -- I wasn't suggesting they release yet another piano instead of this. I was saying I'm surprised a prepped piano had a big enough audience that they bothered with it.

Those are actually really hot right now. Felted, tacked and what not. They are going all out on this one, but I think in their target group there are enough people that will be interested. And even if not, it makes Komplete better on the long run and they constantly need new stuff there to keep people upgrading each year.
