I have recently purchased a Yamaha Avant Grand N3X. This is a hybrid piano with a Yamaha baby grand action and a small faux soundboard with 4 tweeter/woofer embedded speaker pairs, and of course, the CFX Yamaha piano sample. I just received the piano yesterday and I noticed that the middle C Key, and the middle C key only, does not rebound from play quite as fast as the adjoining B and D keys. Is this standard on a Yamaha Baby Grand piano or should I seek Technical support?

Thank you for considering my post,
David

No, this is not standard. You can ask for the store to regulate the key. Most probably it will require slight loosening of the front rail hole bushings which may be done with a screwdriver and is a trivial operation. But you better ask the store to send a technician. It can happen to brand new acoustic pianos as well and an initial regulation of brand new grand pianos isn't unexpected.
