Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me identify a few pieces played by Horowitz in this clip?

Mainly the pieces at
2:00 to 3:00
4:05 - 4:23
11:50 - 12:30
14:20 - 15:00

Thanks smile

Both of these are from Liszt's RĂ©miniscences de Don Juan (tunes are from the 'Champagne aria' and LĂ  ci darem la mano duet from Don Giovanni)

I was surprised in Lang's performance not to hear the four bars in Eb minor just before the end. Given the general nature of his interpretation, though, I suspect he may have simply played them too rapidly to be captured by the human ear.

4:20 is some ballet music from Verdi's Aida.

11:50 is, I think, Kalman.

Here he is playing music from Rimsky-Korsakov operas.

The composers want performers be imaginative, in the direction of their thinking--not just robots, who execute orders.
