Nice looking piano! Congratulations! I played a few brand new Mason and Hamlin grand pianos around 5 years ago and remembered liking them quite a bit.

Update with Modern Piano movers:
As it now appears I have a longer time for delivery as the original estimate for April 1st - April 6th (over this upcoming weekend) has been moved up to April 28th through early May. If it becomes possible to schedule the move sooner they will do so otherwise just have to wait now and be patient.

Confirmation of delivery date:
The corrected date for delivery of the grand will be May 1st - May 6th as it will remain in Modern Piano's own storage facility until they are able to schedule the move for my area. Therefore, the entire move and storage time will be about 60 days, or, 8 weeks.

Update on delivery window:
Have now confirmed "YES" with the movers for delivery between May 3rd - May 10th which is now next week after this upcoming weekend. The final notification will be to confirm an exact delivery DAY with a 4-hour window for arrival on that given day. Note that the movers will notify me of the moving day just 2 - 3 days prior to making their trip to my house.
Hope to have more info, next week!

Your wait is excruciatingly long! I bought my upright one day and it was delivered the next day and I'm 2 hrs. from where I bought it. I think the store (single proprietary business) wanted it delivered before I had a chance to change my mind. In the end it will be worth the wait.

Delivery now confirmed:
Have finally received a delivery day which is May 5th, Wednesday, between 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM -- and, this is very good news after a long wait!
It appears the weather will be mild in the 60's with no rain predicted on Wednesday so this should be a decent day for the movers.

Congratulations! What a magnificent piano? Lucky you!
My piano's voice is my voice to God and the great unknown universe, and to those I love. In other words a hymn. That is all, but that is enough. tre corda

Painted black ebony keys issue: Please note I am now looking to see if my current technician / tuner will be able to restore the "painted" keys on this grand as it has the same issue as my previous Baldwin SF-10 grand that had the painted black ebony keys (from the same store) in which the paint chips off into little black specks when you play since the paint is not durable and is not permanent -- needless to say it is an aggravating issue when you just want to play without any other problems -- here is the other post below as I ask some questions in the Tuner-Technician forum: Painted ebony keys problemExtra note: Will soon be meeting with my tuner / technician so he can do the first tuning and adjust a few keys for some damper resonance issues and adjust the sustain pedal for a little bit of noise and a clicking sound. My tuner will need to consult with another technician and restoration expert at another shop should they decide to strip off this paint and restore the black keys back to their original ebony wood surfaces assuming that my grand has ebony wood keys. There are more questions that need to be answered before we can proceed with this work, unfortunately. The store I had purchased my grand from has been "painting" the black keys on the older "certified rebuilt" grands to make the keys look shiny & glossy although the paint (or, coating) being used is not working. Have already brought this to the attention of the store owner and since I will NOT be sending the black keys back to them under warranty (being out of state) it is simply easier to have a local technician close to me sand and scrape the keys back down to their original ebony wood surfaces and perhaps add a dark dye if it improves the appearance. Still waiting to see if my local technician is willing to proceed with the work. Aside from this aggravating black keys issue the piano is playing very nicely as for overall tone and action and it just needs the first tuning and some minor damper regulation with a few bass notes. If you are a perfectionist as I am these issues can be very irritating to say the least and I just go to playing my other digital pianos when I am not as happy with what's going on with the acoustic grand!

The store I had purchased my grand from has been "painting" the black keys on the older "certified rebuilt" grands to make the keys look shiny & glossy although the paint (or, coating) being used is not working. Update: Please note that I have already called the store and was told that none of their technicians had added any "paint" or anything else to the black keys -- as I have confirmed the M&H BB grand has its ORIGINAL keys therefore had wrongly assumed that paint had been added by the store technicians so I have given them my apology! Waiting now to hear back from my local tuner / technician to see if he will agree to remove the current black keys so they can be taken to a restoration shop and I am requesting to see if they have genuine ebony sharp replacement keys. There are also Schaff Piano Supply plastic sharps as another option but I am not sure they would play or feel as good as a real set of genuine ebony sharps. Will have to wait and see as to what the options and cost will be.

Congratulations! Enjoy that beautiful instrument. What did you play first on it? Thanks, as it truly has impressive sustain and resonance and it can project long melodic lines almost effortlessly! First pieces have included Chopin's Ballade No. 4 in F-minor, Op. 52 -- Schubert's Impromptu in G-flat major, Op. 90, No.3 -- Scriabin's Poème in F-sharp major, Op. 32, No. 1 -- and, others -- all of them highlight the long "singing" lines that this grand handles very nicely.
