Whenever i try to access the site from google i get a messafe saying that the site is not safe and attackers might be trying to steal your information, and when i do enter, i notice that the design of the forums has been changed to a somewhat unkempt black look.
is it only me or is there something going on?

Frank has to renew his security certificate as it has expired. The same thing happens to my business website from time to time. If you look at most websites you will see in the address line a padlock showing that the site is secure. This website has a warning triangle that says the site is not secure so he has to renew his certificate.

I get that unsafe message too.
Off topic but worth mentioning:
I’m new to this site but not new to posting on blogs. I just can’t understand the process to posting a photo to a thread here. The step by step instructions to post a photo are out of date and simply do not work. Hardly anyone has a photo on their posts. Other sites almost every post has a photo. I got around this by putting the photo up on a third party site and linking to it, which I dislike doing.
Hey, photos add to the fun. Just say’n.

My understanding is it not a matter of renewing a certificate. This site has never had a ‘secure’ designation. I just use a different passcode than I use for any other site.

I am getting Safari crashes on my M1 Mac when I click on individual posts, I think if I have backed out of a forum to go somewhere else. It is not happening on my Intel Macs.

I believe the forum URL begins with 'http:', not 'https:', so it is not a secure site. Meaning data sent and received is not encrypted by SSL or something similar.

Hey, photos add to the fun. Just say’n. It's very painful, unless you host the image elsewhere and reference it like you said. But to upload the image here into a gallery and then reference that in your post is a bit cumbersome. It would nice if it was just cut and paste, e.g., like on Discord, Slack, etc ...

But when you work on a computer all day you want more automation, not more mouse clicking. 1 to 2 minutes to perform a task which should take seconds is really not acceptable ;0

Ok, so I tried to post a photo to the gallery. It was a tiny bit too big. I then installed a photo resizer app. Now my photo is in the photo gallery in a small size.
How do I use the ‘medium link to pull it into a post’?
I’m into this 70 minutes now. A bit different than 15 seconds lol.
How do I ‘copy the image address’?

My understanding is it not a matter of renewing a certificate. This site has never had a ‘secure’ designation. I just use a different passcode than I use for any other site. This is my understanding too. I've never seen that small "lock" symbol in the address bar when on the PW site. Just a triangle with an exclamation point and the text that says "Not secure". It's never bothered me, and I do have a good malware and antivirus program, and other filters. Never had a problem with the Piano World site. Rick

Navigate to your picture in the Picture Gallery. Right click on it and choose "Copy Image Address" if you are using Chrome. It may be slightly different wording in other browsers. This gives you the following copied information: http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/medium/14732.jpegTo put it in as a picture, go to your post click Use Full Editor. Then click the Insert Image Link icon (this looks like a mountain against the blue sky). Then you paste the link that you copied and you end up with this: ![[Linked Image]](http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/medium/14732.jpeg)

![[Linked Image]](http://http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/full/14732.jpeg) Hmmm Another fail. I’m on an iPad. So I’m actually into this longer than I have spent to rebuild a Lexus computer. Not kidding. Right click gives 7 options, none are the URL. I can copy the URL though but it does not link to a visible photo in the post. The steps as described do not work.

There may be other ways to post a pic in a post, but here is how I do it... Copy the URL of the pic (has to have a URL); click on "Use Full Editor"; at top of post window, left click on 9th icon from L to R (looks like a pic with blue background); you will get a dropdown text bar that says "Enter the URL of the image you wish to display:", note* there is already an "http://" in the drop down menu, so delete what is already there, so it is not posted twice. Next, paste the URL like of your pic in the dropdown pic menu and click "OK". You will not see your pic in the post window, but you will if you click on "Preview Reply". Or, you can just post your reply and see if the pic is there. I just noticed that you have the "http://" twice in your image URL, as I mentioned. Here is your image: Beautiful piano and music room, by-the-way! ![[Linked Image]](http://forum.pianoworld.com//gallery/42/full/14732.jpeg)
