Hi fellow pianists and composers. I wrote a album for solo piano and would like to post a piece here now and then. I hope this is OK, if not, please let me know.

This is the first piece of 16 from my album "Tales for Piano":
"After work, Late at Night"

Just started listening and I'm enjoying the rich late romantic harmony. This music is so expressive of after work and late evening! I'm guessing you really love your Brahms (I do too). Please post a link to more of your work. I can't believe no one has commented on this! People, is this pearls before swine?!! C'mon. To the OP, this is lovely work, keep it up.

Hi Steve, thank you so much for listening and your warm comments. I am glad to hear that you like the music. Yes, I am very much rooted in the romantic era, loving indeed Brahms, Schumann, Chopin and all other composers of that time period.

I recorded some more of my piano pieces (all part of the same piano album) the last weeks and have plans to record more still. You can you the playlist here:

This is beautiful! Reminded me of Brahms as well. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Andre,

Nice music! You definitely have your lane, but I found myself wishing for wider variety. Your tempi tend to go no faster than moderato. I wanted a nice vivace and maybe some allegros as well. I realize us more experienced folk may not have presto in us anymore. As a composer myself I had this pointed out to me a number of years ago and I embraced the idea that even if I couldn't play it fast enough myself I should at least try. As someone who has obvious ability I'm simply trying to be constructive. I wouldn't bother if your music wasn't worth the effort.

BTW, I assume your videos were all done in one day, that or you only own one shirt. May I suggest in future videos you strive to look more creative and move away from earth tones. You have talent you're worth standing out a bit. We're all works in progress so please feel free to listen and critique my work.

I stand corrected, Autumn Winds just came up and I see a button down shirt and sweater and the piece itself had some faster notes though not necessarily faster overall tempo. Give me more of that!

Hi Steve,
thanks for the comments and suggestions. I actually do have faster pieces, but being a moderate pianist myself, they take me longer to study till I have them up to speed for a recording. The Lost Child has some more movement than the others. There are still 3 more pieces in this piano album, all much faster and more difficult to play. I will upload them when I feel I can play them well enough. My initial intention for this album was something like Schumann's Kinderszenen which also are all very playable for the moderate player.

These video's were actually not shot in one day, more over the span of 3 weeks, but I did wash that t-shirt during that time wink Also, this is the first time ever I created video's like this, so I am sure they could be done in a more advanced way. The next to come video will have an extra camera angle so I have something to cut and paste between them.
