The piano delivered one day earlier than planned. The dealer came to my place with his wife to move piano. I was quite worried as in last year, the two men cam with Yamaha G2 but it looked really dangerous and they had to stop several times and made ding on the cabinet.
The dealer was quite skillful and he moved the piano almost by himself. He is old man and not a muscle guy but everything was quite smooth and easy.

It took about 30mins to setup. I checked every notes if there is any funny sound but amazingly , there was no false beat at all from 1 to 88 at least to my ears.

The tone was not bright. I took out the action and saw the hammers, the hammers in tenor section are little smaller than the other new grand piano that I saw before but touch and volume was alright.

Moving a grand piano is more about technique than brute strength as long as there aren't staircases involved, but did you say that he DID make a few dings on the cabinet? That's not good!

Congratulations and Finally!!!! I think another different piano was dinged when moved, not Tony’s. Skilled piano movers can accomplish near miracles because it’s more skill and technique rather than brute strength. The C3 is a beauty and I know you will love it. Yay!!!! Finally!!!!!

Nothing to complain but this piano had silent system and I tried to plug into NZ electric socket without checking adapter. I heard some noise and I think the adapter is broken. The adapter was 100V for Japan use. The silent system is not necessary for me, so I will ask the dealer to remove it

Maybe you can also post a piece played on your Yamaha C3, recorded with good mics.

Great news. Good to hear the sound is precise and clear.

I wondered how the dealer would manage to install it, one of those impossible things that's easy when you know how. How far did he have to drive?

I tuned the piano for the first time today. Every tuning pin was so tight and tuning was so easy as there is almost no false beat!!
