I've had my Clavinova only a few months (playing often), but the Sustain (Damper) Pedal on the right is PHYSICALLY making a noise (the "ding" is not heard through headphones). It sounds like a fork vibrating its the best way I can describe. You hear a DING! The sound is not extremely loud, but not soft. And it's heard with the Clavinova turned both off and on. Any idea what is causing this? And if there is an easy fix? WD-40 came to mind, but I do not want to damage the pedal electronics and/or sensors. The CLP-745 came with an adjustable lever below the pedals it said to have touching the ground, which I did. Any help or comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No, not WD40. You might want to try a lubricant. But first identify the source of the squeaking.

I had the same issue until I stumbled upon a solution on these forums: Beneath the pedal there is a spring that you need to push either slightly forward or backward. Easy to spot while peeking under the pedal.
Better use a stick or a small towel because the spring is greasy.

WHOA! Worked like magic!!! I'm so thankful for this forum, because I would have had a Yamaha technician out here otherwise. Thank you so much @Pianostang50.

For anybody that runs into this issue in the future, I used the eraser side of a pencil to push the spring backwards, and it worked great!
