Hey guys, just wondering what you thought about the Kawai GX5? Any personal experience with it? A friend of mine is about to buy a new one for $33,000; just wondering if that's a good deal. Thanks!

I'd say it's a steal at that price if it's new.

The GX-5 size is really an underappreciate segment. It has a noticeably deeper sounding bass tone, but doesn't take the space or cost as much as a full 7 foot grand.

I think this size is a really great teaching / practicing studio piano, for not that much more than the 6'2" GX-3.
