I've been reading about Don Black, a great music act manager. One of his clients was Matt Monro a very famous crooner here in UK. One experience....:

Don Black is Matt Monro's manager. Matt is booked into one of those clubs where all the top singers worked in the sixties and seventies.
Black rings the club to check on the state of the piano.
Club manager: 'no problem there, we've just had it painted'

Sound familiar???

A pianist played a Valentines day event and posted some playing. Management went all out with displays and adornments. But the grand piano? Crazy out of tune. I don't get it.

They just don't understand! In all honesty, a digital keyboard might be better in some of those places. Except it would probably get broken much quicker than a piano.....
