Yes - turning off local control is indeed the thing to do if playing with VSTs. For my use the built in sounds are good enough - and actually quite a bit better than I had expected.

Hello again!

I've placed an order for Roland FP 30x in the local shop. I will have to wait approx. 1 month for it! I can't wait wink
Thank you all for your help

Cheers,
Alex

Hello Alex,

That is a swift decision--congratulations!

Hope the Roland works well for you and you'll be a happy player. I reckon you will be.

What final considerations tipped the balance for you?

Cheers and happy playing,

HZ

Hey,

Thank you smile

Actually because I've never played a piano before I can't speak about preferences when it comes to action etc.
I guess that my main reason was the better connectivity and the fact that Roland FP-30x is simply newer. There are a lot of sounds available, higher note polyphony, better speaker, pleasant sound in the Youtube demos. It supports wireless bluetooth audio and midi. Besides it's been confirmed in a review I watched that the Roland FP-30x it has the proper audio interface we were talking about. I guess it ticks all my boxes, and probably more! Andddddd I finaly want to start playing, instead of thinking about it and checking instruments all the time. I only wish I didn't have to wait so long but on the other hand I am happy I've made up my mind.

Cheers,
Alex

Great, congrats! And, enjoy learning piano!! It is hard to go wrong for a complete beginner if they pick between Yamaha P-125, Kawai ES-110 and Roland FP30x. Differences are just minor personal preferences at this price point. They are all very competitive.
