Even with the poor recording, you can hear that bell-like(?) quality of Oscar Peterson's piano. Darn that sounds good. And the playing!!

Give me a virtual instrument like that!! Anyone know anything close?

I can't believe I didn't post the link!!! What a dope!

Gotta go into the vid past the 2:00 mark to here him solo. About 3:10 are the nice bell tones...

About 7:40 I'm pretty sure you can see the blacked out lowest bass notes of a Bosendorfer Imperial. Also, whilst it might be the angle of the longer, wider shots, it also looks like an incredibly long piano. So I reckon that is an Imperial.

Yep, Oscar was a Bosendorfer Imperial man for many years. The colour of the Bosendorfer harp (more of an orange/bronze colour instead of the typical gold/brass colour) is a give-away.

The piano in the Vienna Symphonic Library might be the closest digital rendition, with very long, unlooped samples. I've heard an occasional rumor that the piano had a tuning issue when the samples were collected, but I don't know if they are factual rumors, as it would be very surprising.

Play classical repertoire from score. Improvise blues.
