Often wondered about oval chainrings. Do they make a difference? And can you alter the ovality of the thing relative to the pedals?
Having lived a sheltered life, I only knew round ones . . .

Lockdowns such as we have now are just great for cycling! I'm out every day . . .

Best way I can describe is it’s like having an extra ring on the rear - ie you can shift in to the last ring on the back a bit later than usual. Not sure you can change the oval dimensions though, the folks at Absolute black have done heaps of work to get an optimum design without it feeling to “odd”. Make sure you get the right type for your group set if you go down that route 😎

Oval ring improves pedaling efficiency, makes pedaling effort more even over the full rotation cycle, but the ring must match the chain and group. And you need to get used to it. Initially it caused strange sensations for me, and I switched back to conventional cogs.

Super wide music stand for the P515. Fits most Digitals, and is free standing. Hope the link works! The stand keeps the noise of the piano local to the player; it does not disturb my missus next door watching tele. I can have it as loud as I like without problems.

Our new piano (Yamaha CLP-785). The 'build crew' AKA the poodles provided "skin hydration services" (licking me when I was on my back putting the thing together). lol. Very helpful!

Here is a pic in a cleaner room. I've decided not to keep the laptop connected. I really don't use Pianoteq anymore and the only time I use headphones is in the early morning.

We still need to get a rug, couch and other stuff for the room. Blinds are delayed too.

It should have a nice little echo/ambience to the sound. Soft furnishings could ruin that.

Hi there,

Here’s my place to play...... a short video and of course there is a picture of my beloved music teacher in it ....and the busts of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven...the modern picture of Beethoven is a gift of my adult children to cheer up the room grin grin

My place....
The piano is Kawai CA95SB

Kind regards,
Johan B

Thanks Johan smile it looks great, very organized and cosy, perfect setting to focus on your music! I like the artwork as well. I need myself some ideas to give some personality to my piano place.
Thanks for sharing :))
