I’m trying to decide between these four VST clean tone Rhodes libraries: Keyscape, VTines, Famous E, and Scarbee 88. Has anybody compared all four? Which Has the best un effected clean tone sound and response to playing?

Have you demoed Pianoteqs's version? The Scarbee is the only one of those four I have, but PTQ is by far my favourite Rhodes.

I don't know "best". There's the fully-modelled "Lounge Lizard EP-4", by Applied Acoustic Systems. It lets you adjust the physical properties of the (virtual) instrument -- move around the pickups, etc. There are many "presets", all user-alterable. For a completely "clean" tone, just turn off all the effects. You can download that, and test it out, before paying for it. https://www.applied-acoustics.com/lounge-lizard-ep-4/

I have the Scarbee88. It's deeply sampled. I haven't liked other sampled Rhodes libraries. Either there was velocity switching or the sampled instrument was in poor condition. With Scarbee88, it feels like I'm playing a real instrument. I like Pianoteq (acoustic piano) but their Rhodes never quite grabbed me. However you can demo it. VTines seems to get a lot of positive comments.

I used to play the Scarbee 88 in the past and it was pretty good IMO. I've also tried various modeled Rhodes piano sounds and in a similar fashion to the modeled acoustic piano counterparts they are not very convincing and sound "rubbery" to my ears. Roland started used modeled Rhodes in the RD-700GX if I'm not mistaken it was a step backwards compared to the sampled Rhodes pianos.

To add to the confusion... XLN Addictive Keys Mark One is also a contender, IMHO
Yamaha U3H Kawai VPC1 ...plus some other DPs, keyboards and VSTs

Also you may know that the Scarbee goes on sale every so often - about half price. I believe AcousticSamples (Vtines) has periodic sales as well.
