This piano comes with an integrated stand with pedals. But those pedals connect with a proprietary plug. I need something that connects a female 1/4" to that proprietary plug. Or can I use MIDI somehow? There is no 1/4" pedal plug on this thing. There are 2 1/4" headphone jacks though. I suppose I could rewire one of them from the proprietary plug but I'd love to do this without tearing it apart. I don't really need the soft pedal but it would be nice. I could get just drill 2 more holes and wire up 2 female 1/4" jacks to the proprietary jacks.

Wrong forum, but it depends if those pedals works as just switches or potentiometers or something else, it maybe that there is prioprietary plug because it is not electrically compatible with standard pedals, I don't know that instrument so just guessing, you should go to some electronic forum, it wil probably require disassembling that pedal unit and reverse engineering it

You might find a "pedal to MIDI" black box. It might even support two pedals. It might even be configurable to send sustain and soft pedal data.

But I don't have any specific model in mind. And many of them might be for contunuous expression pedals and not for on/off switches.

Alternatively, if you have the Kawai triple pedal bar then maybe you can take the triple pedal unit out from the pedal bar and screw it onto a plank of wood to have a portable triple pedal.
