Now that NAMM2021 is over (without any spectacular releases) I wanted to ask you for your guesses which Digital Pianos will be released throughout 2021? Best Regards, Björn

Yamaha CLP have been renewed too recently. I Guess Kawai CA too. Perhaps new Roland LX, with a PHA60 action (and true genuine modelling)

Kawai ES120 with the RHCII action and not much new otherwise. Maybe a new case design.
Casio might surprise with a new generation of Privia/Celviano, but maybe my bet would be later than 2021.
The x70 series is from 2017/2018, I think. Not that old yet.
Medeli might update their product portfolio, but nobody cares. 😉

I'm hoping that the good people at Roland take the new stuff that's in their LX7xx series, and add it to their GP60x digital grands. Seeing as how the GP607 is now over four years old, it seems time for an update! :-)

for model in list[today's piano models]
model = model + 1
print model
Or model + "X" Note : in Python, you just write [today's piano models], no list tag. (With today’s piano model replaced by the actual list) And print needs parenthesis since Python 3

Kawai ES120 with the RHCII action and not much new otherwise. Maybe a new case design. Yes, the symmetry is too great for there not to exist an ES120: ES120, ES520, ES920

Casio might surprise with a new generation of Privia/Celviano, but maybe my bet would be later than 2021. I was actually wondering if Casio has any plans for the Privia PX5S. It's been out for over 6 years now. While it's still a pretty impressive board for its price and specs, Im assuming some sort of revamp is in the works at Casio's r&d department. ....just please no white, black, and blue.

Actually the Casio PX5s came out in 2013. So it is going on 8 years now.
All these years playing and I still consider myself a novice.

They just posted some Q&A session on the PX5S, so I guess it's still very much a part of the active product portfolio.

What about the chances for a MP7SE and MP11SE successor this year? Or a Nord Piano 5? Or a successor to the P515? Or a successor to the Grandstage this year?

I really don't see a lot being released this year due to supply/production issues that have plagued us for the last year or so. It seems like most of the boards that I have looked into recently have been backordered at baseline. However, I think we are due for a Kawai MP12 or VPC1. I would love to see a new Nord as well.
Also, how great would it be to see Spitfire Audio release a piece of hardware like NI's s88mk2? That would be amazing.

I hope for a new Kawai Novus, one that would compete with Yamaha's N3X... Pie in the sky perhaps?
I post piano stuff on my instagram page --> https://www.instagram.com/marchelune I own an old Roland FP-4, looking for a hybrid piano to upgrade to! Current work: Chopin, Ballade no 1

N4X?
I mean, it’s been close to 5 years, and Im sure as heck Yamaha would love nothing more than to upstage Kawai and their rumored NV-15.

Roland LX and HP series, Kawai CA series, some of hybrids.
I would personally welcome better amplification and more memory for samples on digital pianos, including speakers and headphone amplifiers, without going into exorbitant prices, something to fit 3-4k range and better amplification what is currently in place. In my experience, it affects sound more than technology advancements.
