It was a 7'6 piano, very much a mid-range instrument in terms of quality, they were very well built but not outstanding instruments.
A quick google search reveals there is one for sale in NC for $23500, is this the piano you're looking at?

I’ve played a few 350s and a 500 over the years. Built solid, but they were the first pianos Kawai made (I believe), so obviously they didn’t benefit from improved design changes.

Joseph - just a minor correction, that model was 7'4" BGood - this is just a very old piano, and although well built it was not an artistically sought after piano originally - just a nice big workhorse kind of piano. The original quality doesn't mean as much as the condition - how it has been used, maintained, and protected from bad environmental conditions. If you try it and feel it is the right piano for you, it is too old to buy without having a tech check it! That will be the person who can guide you better than people here on the forum.

Thank you for your responses! I was equally curious to the BlueBook value. Value of any used piano, particularly that of one that is now 60 years old, can only be determined by its condition. Because the condition hasn't been determined, there is no "Blue Book" or other value that one can assess to it. Its value would have to be assessed by a technician having given it a thorough examination. Regards,

We didn't see so many large Kawai pianos from that time in the UK, because in the 1960s and early 70s, when budget conscious buyers wanted to buy a larger piano there were still British made options, but that's for another thread. Now, if the piano was an RX-7 or GX-7, it would be a different story as to the quality altogether!
