Hi all,
I've been binging some of Graham Fitchs videos lately and found his practice tips very helpful an inspiring.

I was wondering if any of you are familiar with the Practicing the Piano Online Academy and would like to share some insights. Is it worth it?
I've been thinking about a membership, but there's also a set of e-books which might be useful. 🤔
Would you recommend getting either, or both? Are the contents very similar?

Thanks for any input you might have 🙏

I was wondering the same thing.

I like Graham Fitch’s teaching style very much. He made a video walkthrough of Grieg’s Arietta which I found helpful when learning this piece.

I also found the sample pages of his beginning e-book to be helpful as well.

I have exactly the same questions! I just signed up for his free email series. If I decide to subscribe, where is the best place to begin? I am intermediate or maybe even early intermediate. And I don't have a teacher. He says his online course is really designed for students who do have a teacher but those who are self-taught could benefit as well. Let's keep each other informed on this.

By the way, I tried Ilinca Vartic's course for a few months and I did find it helpful but it got too expensive and I really wanted more emphasis on Western classical pieces.

Hi all,

Online Academy is not a course, it is just a collection of resources. Here you can find a full index:

https://online-academy.informance.biz/online-academy/content-index

There is a free membership option which allows you to read 5 articles, so you can get an idea whether the full membership is worth it:

https://online-academy.informance.biz/online-academy/subscribe

Graham Fitch also has a blog where you can find a lot of useful information:

https://practisingthepiano.com/

If you don't know where to start, just go the archive page and start with the last article.

I hope it answers some of your questions.
