Hello everyone, recently, albeit not changing anything, my FP-90 suddenly only outputs sound through its right speaker via Bluetooth function (both my iPhone and iPad have the same problem). I have checked the settings of both devices to make sure that the sound was not changed to Mono but the problem still persists. If I plug my headphones in, the left is completely mute. I've already reset my piano to the factory settings but it didn't work either. As I said, I did not tweak the settings or fiddle with the sliders - the problem just kind of happened. This only affects the BT audio though. Would really appreciate if someone can help me to find a solution, massive thanks. P.S: If anyone here happens to be both a serious or trained pianist and a FP-90 owner, I'd love to know your personal piano designer settings.

Hello Saberlarry,
It's possible that the component responsible for outputting the received Bluetooth audio signal to the instrument's speaker and headphones has developed a fault.
I wonder if the Line In audio connector has the same behaviour?
Either way, it's probably best to seek technical support assistance from the retailer that sold the instrument to you and/or the Roland distributor/subsidiary in your country.
Kind regards, James x

Kind regards, James x Thanks for your response, unfortunately I bought it 2 years ago in the US and there's no official Roland distributor where I live (or there could be, I'm thinking of a prestigious name now). I still believe that it's not an internal fault, as the problem was first found on my iPad then a few weeks later, my iPhone (which means while streaming BT audio by my iPad only output mono audio, pairing my iPhone worked perfectly). I will try to see if this is true by pairing a brand new device tonight... Anyway, what does the Line In do? Sorry, I'm not familiar with audio terms. But other functions which involve the speaker, apart from streaming BT audio, work just fine (e.g. playing internal demos or recording a performance)

Hello Saberlarry,
It's rather strange that the issue occurred with your iPad first, and then your iPhone. Perhaps it could be an iOS/iPadOS bug, with the iPad updating itself first, and the iPhone a few weeks later?
If you haven't done so already, it may be worthwhile checking to see if an iOS/iPadOS update is available for your devices. iOS/iPadOS 14.2 did have an issue related to Bluetooth MIDI which was fixed in iOS/iPadOS 14.3. Bluetooth MIDI is a separate feature to Bluetooth Audio, however it's perhaps worth a try.
The Line In connector is on the back of your FP90, and allows you to connect the 1/8" stereo audio output from another device (e.g. the headphone out from a laptop etc.) and output the audio through the piano's speakers. I was wondering if perhaps the FP90 Bluetooth Audio and Line In share the same audio circuitry. If so, there is a possibility that the Line In audio might also be limited to playback on one side.
Kind regards, James x
