Listening to this demo of the FP90X, it sounds like they might have removed the SN EPs - correct? The FP90 got the SN EPs, I think. I'm not very familiar with the SN EPs, however I assume they don't have any looping, but I hear looping in this demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9o_rq7qj14&t=223s (I don't hear looping artifacts, but I hear the LACK of a natural decay)
I didn't check but I think it sounds similar as the epiano in the FP90. I find the looping bothersome, its frequency is adjustable but I prefer a less baroque epiano in Others (33 I think).
I’m guessing if you already own the fp90 then upgrading to the fp90x isn’t worth it?
I don't shop new with digital pianos. However, I would certainly recommend upgrading when the FP90X becomes available used at a reasonable price, as the standard FP90 will depreciate a lot when the FP100 finally comes out. Best to keep one step behind and keep your loses to £150 per upgrade rather than waiting and losing £500.

No one has any idea. I don’t believe any are in stock in any country yet. All we have is the marketing spiel from Roland and ‘special access preview’ videos.

Actually I think you're right - I've just listened to some FP90 demos, and the EPs sound similar to the FP90X. It's hard to be certain, because all the demos I heard played quickly and/or staccato, but on the odd occasion, yes, I think I could hear the looping.
I can’t trust a company that has overtly stolen a naming sheme, be that “X”, from another.
If we leave this unattended, others will start on the same path and next thing you know, Korg will release a VPC-3X.
