I suppose that if I answer « but Korg doesn’t make acoustic pianos », you will answer « but they can do something like Casio : a partnership with a wellknown acoustic piano maker ».

If this were Nikon or Canon or Sony, there would be a dark picture of a camera with just enough light on it to make out a few features. And any badges revealing the new name would be photoshopped out. Just enough info to make the fanboys drool with excitement. Those companies know how to whip up a prerelease frenzy.

Quite likely hybrids that were already released in Japan. That was a silent piano system for installation in acoustic pianos.

Frankly, I find Korg's line up of products confusing. Lots of overlap, it seems, & many musical electronics of mysterious utility. Not that I know what I'm talking about. . Maybe if I were a sound engineer or music producer, their stuff would make sense to me. As a hobbyist consumer, it's just a hodgepodge of gadgets. (Except for the console pianos.)

I wish Korg would collaborate with Kawai to create a successor to Kronos with a Kawai RH3 keybed.

I wish Korg would collaborate with Kawai to create a successor to Kronos with a Kawai RH3 keybed. That certainly would be an interesting product. I'm just imagining the chaos that would ensue on this forum. As if it isn't confusing enough already, Korg's own action is RH3 and Kawai's is RHIII. Hey, I'm looking to buy a new piano. Is that the Korg piano with Kawai's RH3? or the Kawai with Kawai's RHIII? or the Korg with Korg's RHIII? wait something's not right...

The pre-show placeholder image is currently stating "KORG's Upcoming Digital Pianos Featuring L1 and LP380U" It seems like L1 will be something new?
