A short and sweet transcription of one of Rachmaninoff's songs. One of my favorites.

That was so beautifully played. A following of the score proves that this is much more difficult than you make it sound. There is a wonderful sense of ease and fluidity in the sound, and a gentleness of forward movement giving lovely shape to the work.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Wonderful playing! I love everything about this piece and recording. The rubato use was splendid. Your digital piano sounds very impressive as well! Have you considered playing the ossias? Both versions are nice.

I need to get this back in my repertoire. Last time I played it was circa 2005.

Thanks for the nice comments all.

@benjamink If you mean the first version of the transcription with the elaborated figuration near the end, I considered playing it instead, but in the end I thought it sounded a bit too busy and didn't really work with the interpretation I had in mind. You should! It's such an unassuming yet beautiful piece.

Beautifully played with a really delicate touch and keen sense for the textures and shape of the line. One of my favourite Rachmaninoff transcriptions as well. Bravo!
