Sure it should. Piano-to-PC MIDI can be USB or BT. You should turn off "local control".

Thanks Sure it works. You can also mix the sound of your digital piano with the VST sound coming in if you like.

Thanks for replies, do you own the Lx 706? Have you tried?
So when mixing will I be able to turn down the volume of the piano coming from the built in speakers while only listening to the edited sound coming from the pc or turning the piano volume down will lower the sound from the pc as well? I'm trying to understand if the volume of the piano and the input line in can be adjusted individually or not. Many thanks

Many thanks I cannot guarantee each digital piano works the same way so nothing is guaranteed. I remember turning the volume down on my piano and controlling incoming sound with mixer. So, if no mixer ... probably have to control with Pianoteq software. It will work in some manner .... you just have to try a few things.

(a) One possibility:
. . . On the DP, set "Local Control" to "Off".
That will disconnect the DP's sound generator, and the only sound you'll hear, through the loudspeakers, will be the VST.
(b) You'll be able to adjust the amount of DP sound, by using the DP's own volume control.
Once you've done that, even if the DP's volume control affects the loudness of "Line In", you can use the computer's (or the VST's) volume control to adjust how loud the VST plays, through the DP's loudspeakers.
Mixers simplify that kind of adjustment, and they're inexpensive.
