What’s the best way to freshen up Mannino style broaches? I tried to do it with some sandpaper but it came out a little uneven. I read somewhere to roll it between two files. I am curious if there is a better way to do it.

My first step would be to scrub them with an acetone-soaked rag. The fine tooth is easily clogged. If you want to re-tooth them, place a small mill file on the edge of a bench, place the tool at 90 degrees on it, and then place another file on top but reversed in direction. press the files together and spin the reamer between them by moving the files back and forth. Don't press too hard or you will increase the size of the cut.

What Ed said - clean them first, that's usually all that is needed.
